    Peggy and her virtual team work with authors on their non-fiction book and ebook projects, including;
    - concept development
    - editing, both style/substantive and grammar/spelling copy editing
    - printing or digital publishing
    - marketing, especially using WordPress and blogging / social media strategies
    - for print books, worldwide warehousing and shipping

    Our clients include private individuals, corporations, and educational institutions. We specialize in guiding clients through a tested methodology of self-publishing that helps them sell their book on a national or international level.

    Our motto “publishing for real people” represents our three guiding principles of practicality, profitability, and personality. A book must have all three of these characteristics to succeed, and we believe we are the best at helping authors achieve all three of these.

    If you’re here looking for the HUMANUS SCOPE AND FOCUS EXERCISE, you’ve just found it. This letter-size page contains an exercise that you can do in a few minutes to help you focus your writing and stay true to your mission. The chart requires the use of sticky-back notes, or Post-its, in a small size. This exercise creates a chart that can act as a steering document for the rest of your project.

    Humanus Publishing is guided by the following values in all that we do;

    • We have a commitment to the environment. All of our work is done by freelance contractors who work from their homes to reduce carbon emissions from travel to and from an office. We use recycled and recyclable materials in our books, we practice recycling and other green initiatives at our homes, and we choose who we do business with very carefully to make sure these values are aligned.
    • We support small business. We’re a small business ourselves, and we like to do business with other small businesses, especially those owned and run by women. If you have a product or service that you think would coordinate with our offerings, please talk to us.
    • We believe in independent authors. Self-publishing is a growing industry for a variety of reasons. The freedom that comes with controlling your own content from design to delivery is rejuvenating the information and publishing businesses. We do all we can to ensure the success of independent authors.
    • We love open source. The open source movement is something we’re fascinated by, for the same reasons that we love independent authors. We try to use as many open source products and services in our book production, (like this website, which is built on a WordPress platform) as well as adopt a similar philosophy to our general business practices, such as cost transparency. This can be tough to demonstrate here, so please let us explain it to you in person.

    If you have an information publishing idea that you’d like to discuss with us, we offer a $50 30-minute phone session that will give you some immediate feedback, and some first steps to take. To book your session, please call us toll-free at 1-866-907-4084.

    About Our Podcasts and Copyright

    All free podcasts from Humanus Publishing can be re-distributed freely, as long as appropriate credit is given. Appropriate credit should be given as per the following protocol;
    1) At the end of each podcast, a credit / copyright statement is recorded. This must not be removed, truncated, altered or added on to without express written permission.

    3) We also ask that you link back to us at the point of offering the podcast on the web, using the URL http://www.humanuspublishing.com, and send us an email that you’ve posted the podcast with the link to your page. This helps us help you by allowing us to cross-link to your site, so you also benefit from our traffic.
    4) No content or data from any of our video or audio podcasts or other media can be cut, chopped, or otherwise modified, nor can it be re-distributed for profit, either directly or indirectly. But if you’d like some custom content, let’s talk about that.
